About Me

Hello and welcome! I am Amisha, a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). I am affiliated with the ETAD (Engaging Technology and Application Design) lab at UCI, currently being advised by Prof. Sergio Gago-Masague.

My work is focused on advancing Fairness in Machine Learning (ML). As an advocate of Resposnible AI, I am deeply committed to addressing the ethical considerations inherent in algorithmic decision-making processes. I have worked with various Deep Learning architectures, and focused on ML Interpretability modules on real-world UCI student-admissions dataset. My work in the domains of Fair Representation Learning is aimed to address disparities and biases inherent in data-driven decision-making processes.

I am always eager to connect with fellow researchers, practitioners, and advocates who are passionate in the fields of Machine Learning.
