About Me

Hello and welcome! I am Amisha, a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). I am affiliated with the ETAD (Engaging Technology and Application Design) and TLC (Teaching and Learning in Computing) Lab at UCI, currently being advised by Dr. Sergio Gago-Masague.

Ongoing Work and Research Interests,

  • Fairness in Machine Learning.
  • Developing Representation learning techniques to mitigate Algorithmic bias in real-world applications.
  • Experience working in Neuro-symbolic networks and Deep learning frameworks for robust decision-making.
  • Integrating Fairness-aware frameworks in Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Machine Learning Interpretability and Explainaibility.

  • Jan 17, 2017 - Awarded Department Topper, Integrated MSc., Mathematics, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, on Graduation Day.
